Veterans Memorial Trees

Greencastle proudly honors the veterans who have served our country. To recognize their service, we have established two locations where Veterans Memorial Trees are planted.

Tree Locations and Cost


You can find the Veterans Memorial Trees at two designated areas:

  • Along Veterans Memorial Highway, between Bloomington Street and South Jackson Street.

  • At the Putnam County YMCA, located at 1111 Calbert Way.

The cost to purchase a tribute tree is $200.

How to Apply


You can download the application HERE or pick one up in person at Greencastle City Hall (1 N. Locust Street). A separate application must be completed for each tree you wish to purchase.

Once you have filled out your application, you can submit it and make your payment in one of the following ways:

  • By mail: Send your completed application and a $200 check (made out to the City of Greencastle) to: Attn. Clerk-Treasurer’s Office P.O. Box 607 Greencastle, IN 46135

  • By email: Email your completed application to tshaffer@cityofgreencastle.com. After sending the email, call the Clerk's office at (765) 848-1582 or (765) 848-1509 to make a credit card payment over the phone. Please note there is a 3% service fee for all credit card payments.

  • In person: Return your completed application to the Clerk's office on the second floor of City Hall (1 N. Locust Street). You can pay with cash, check, or a credit card (a 3% service fee applies to credit card payments).
