Greencastle is fortunate to host a local site of Ivy Tech Community College to serve Greencastle and Putnam County residents. Ivy Tech Community College is Indiana’s largest public postsecondary institution and the nation’s largest singly accredited statewide community college system, accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Ivy Tech has campuses throughout Indiana, including the site located in Greencastle, and also serves thousands of students annually online. Open to students in high school and adult learners, Ivy Tech can be your path to a high-value career in West Central Indiana. With more than 40 programs offered between the Greencastle site and Terre Haute campus, one is meant for you.

Smart Start to a Bachelor’s Degree
In addition, Ivy Tech Community College provides a seamless transfer to other colleges and universities in Indiana, as well as out of state, for a more affordable route to a bachelor’s degree. Start at Ivy Tech can allow students to earn their associate degree and transfer to a four-year college with a sophomore or junior status, saving time and money.
Ivy Tech also offers dual credit and dual enrollment opportunities for high school students to earn college credit or even an associate degree while still in high school. Dual credit courses are taught at the high school by certified instructors and count as both high school and college credit. Dual credit courses are free, and during the 2022-23 academic year, high school students and families saved nearly $3.5 million by taking dual credit courses.
Earn an Associate Degree in One Year
Ivy Tech Greencastle offers an accelerated program for students to earn their associate degree in just 11 months. The ASAP program is a rigorous, yet supportive, cohort-style program that allows students to earn their degree quickly and be ready to start their career or transfer to earn a bachelor’s degree.
